The Big Red Barn

So over in Santaquin is this lovely little farm that my mom found five or six years ago and since then we've made the trek. They have really yummy ice cream and cider and you go on a hay ride to the actual pumpkin patch. We had a lot of fun. The ice cream was good and the company was better, but I'm not so sure a hay ride is a good idea when you are pregnant. I got sort of sick, but luckily didn't throw-up. Genevieve really like the ride, until we got to the end and the driver decided to go really fast and then she was scared. On the way home Genevieve's bad mood continued and by the end I was wondering how there can be so many ups and downs in one little outing.

Here we are on the hay ride...

The Zoo

We went to the zoo with the Dewitts. We had such a fun time! Josh, Tiff and Logan were so patient while we had to chase Genevieve all around and mostly did what Gen wanted to do. I realized after we got home and I was looking through pictures that we forgot to ask someone to take one of all of us. If you look really close in one of the ball pictures you can see all of us. Next time I'll remember!

The Semi-Annual Weenie Roast

I don't know if it's just an older generation thing or what, but Nana and Popa insist on calling hot dogs "weenies". For years my siblings and cousins have felt scandalized every time the word would be said, which was OFTEN. It can get pretty bad when someone's asking something like how's your. . .You get the point, but apparently my grandparents don't. We would even have a great time secretly counting how many times the dreaded word was said. Despite the uncomfortable title, we always have a fantastic time. We usually head up the canyon, which I love in the fall, but since it snowed the day before, the canyon was out of the question. Here are some of the pics of the event!

Russell made the perfect marshmallows. I'm kind of jealous; mine always end up on fire or at least burned to a crisp.

Genevieve is petrified of swings, but she loves slides. Personally swings seem safer to me, but she definitely doesn't think so.

We're Having a Baby!

Well like the title says, we're having a baby come mid-April. I've never been so tired in my entire life. I'm starting to wonder if it's more than just being pregnant. I've also been more sick this time, than I was with Genevieve. I'm excited that all of those sorts of things are supposed to be on their way out. We had sort of a harrowing appointment last week. They couldn't find the heartbeat and we had to go in for an ultrasound. It ended up great though, because everything looked fine and now we have pictures. I don't know how I'm going to make it with two, but we're excited.
