Marriage is SO cool!

So Russ and I just celebrated our fifth anniversary, the day after Christmas. I think we were figuring out that we'd also been "an item" for a little over nine years. Wow has it ever been great so far! He's my best friend and he is amazingly good to me. I seriously couldn't get along without him. We love talking to each other and it's been our favorite thing to do since the beginning. We used to go for walks even in the bitter cold, just so we could have a good chat. I swear he does more of the housework than I do and he helps me so much with Genevieve. I could go on and on, but I'm feeling kind of silly as it is. I'll just end by saying Marriage is so cool and I love it! How cool is it that this can be forever!

P.S. So in case you were wondering I think we're going to make it after all! So we've survived the plague and can live to tell about it. Although, I'd rather not because I'd just like to forget about the whole horrid experience.

Being sick and pregnant and having a sick child is a fate worse than. . .

(fill in the appropriate word. Personally I like death). I feel like death and I still have to take care of my sick little girl. Genevieve began this lovely episode on Friday and I followed along a few days later. I'm so tired I can barely stand it, but my throat hurts so bad (from all that yummy snot) that I can't fall asleep even though I've been trying for the past hour. Plus since Genevieve has been sleeping terribly at night and for her naps, I feel like some sort of horrible psychological experiment. I'm terrified she's going to wake up at any moment and every five minutes I swear I hear her. So in addition to the poor thing waking up millions of times at night for who knows what reasons, she has also had a hard time breathing, sounds like an otter, coughs none stop until she throws up (yet refuses to drink something before the throwing up thing happens), has a runny nose, sore throat and a fever a good deal of the time. Russ and I haven't had such a cuddly girl who keeps falling asleep just wherever since she was an infant. That is the one great thing, she's really sweet and cuddly at times. The rest is torture. I feel so bad for her because I know what she's going through (with now having it myself), but I'm also getting angry and impatient wondering when the horror will end. Did I mention she has taken to refusing her medicine to the point that she vomits when we try to force feed it to her? Oh it's so wonderful! And to top it all off she is teething. Russ and I have been thinking she's been teething for a few weeks now and right in the midst of this insidious virus one of those pesky canines has finally pushed through. We're just praying the other three quickly follow suit. So this is a warning to you all, stay far far away from us, unless you are a glutton for punishment. In that case please come over so we can cough, sneeze, drip or spew in your healthy face.

Oh Wait. . .

I didn't realize it, but Josh had sent me a picture of a bunch of us at his parents. Thanks Josh! Thanks Josh's Mom!

Christmas...ah why does it have to be over?!

So Christmas was magical and fabulous as ever. I'm so sad it's over, but I'm sure I'll get over it in a week or two. I'm still hoping Megs is up to having a January party. I'm sure I could do one if she isn't.

Well so Christmas was a sea of excitement with this party or that outing. I loved being able to see so many friends and family. Genevieve really enjoyed Christmas and all it has to offer and Russ and I had so much fun enjoying everything with her again. I never thought I'd get to be a kid again, but now having my own, suddenly things are magical and cool all over again. It's great. Thanks to everyone who had parties. I got a few pictures of people's kids, but none of us adults. I'm now so regretting it, so next time I don't care I"m going to make everyone get in a picture together.

So without further ado here are some pics of the last couple of weeks.

Oh and if anyone has any pics please, please e-mail them to me. I would be happy to do the same. Megs, I have a couple more of Maggie. She's so dang cute! I wish Gen would be so amazing for the camera as Maggie is.
